The snow began falling around 7:00 am this morning.
It looks like someone is sifting powdered sugar at an alarming rate!
Looking in all directions, there is only whiteness.
The temperatures are slowly dropping and are expected to be at record lows tonight and tomorrow, so we are prepared, as best as we can be!
Meanwhile, our plans for the day are simple.
Undress the house from its Christmas decorations,
listen to our Christmas music one last time,
play some games,
read,
and worship the Creator, with gratitude for His blessings, on a cold Winter’s day.
Have a restful, peaceful day!
We're undressing our house, too. It's bittersweet every year, but the beautiful snow makes it better, somehow. I'm looking for the wind to pick up soon, but for now, it's so nice to see it floating down.
ReplyDeleteIt is kind of sad to take down the decorations. Everything looks a little bare at first. I love the extra prettiness and shimmer of Christmas, but you're right - the beauty of the snow compensates somewhat. But the cold right now! Amazing isn't it?! I'm glad your power wasn't out long!
